Who we are
This site belongs to the School of Science for a Solar Humanity, founded by Dieli Heredia in Costa Rica. Here we publish the blog articles and information about the School.
For any question about your data, write to us at contacto@humanidadsolar.com.
What we collect and why
- Subscription: your email, your name if you add it, and the page language. We use them to send the confirmation email and, after that, news from the School. Every email includes a link to unsubscribe.
- Comments: your name, your email and what you write. We publish your name and comment. Your email is never shown; we only use it if we need to reply privately. To stop spam we also keep an encrypted fingerprint of your connection (not your IP address) and your browser type.
- Booking a call: the button opens WhatsApp. Whatever you write there is used only to reply and arrange the call. WhatsApp has its own privacy policy.
- Admin panel: only the School's team has accounts. There is no public sign-up.
We don't use analytics or advertising tools, and we never sell or share your data.
Cookies
The site sets a single cookie of its own, NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers the language you read it in. The admin panel also uses session cookies to keep the team signed in. We store your cookie choice in your browser (it is not a tracking cookie). We don't use tracking cookies of our own.
Who else handles your data
- Render: hosts the site.
- Neon: the database that holds subscriptions and comments.
- SMTP2GO: sends our emails.
- Cloudinary: stores article images.
To run the site we work with these providers, who store or process data on our behalf. Their servers may be outside Costa Rica.
How long we keep it
Your subscription is kept until you unsubscribe. From then on we stop writing to you; if you also want your email deleted, just ask.
A comment is kept while its article is published or until you ask us to delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see what data we hold about you, correct it or delete it, and to stop writing to you. Email contacto@humanidadsolar.com from the address you used and we'll reply the same way.
Courses and payments in the future
If we later add online courses, student accounts or payments, we'll update this policy before launching them and say so on this page.
Changes to this policy
When something important changes you'll see it here, with a new update date.
